Comment (Geology): GEOL.COM: QUARTZ FORMS STOCKWORK IN WIDE SHEAR ZONES AND NARROW CONTINUOUS VEINS PARALLEL TO SOME OF THE NARROWER SHEAR ZONES; GOLD AND SILVER VALUES ARE GENERALLY LOW AND CONFINED TO NARROW WIDTHS.

Comment (Deposit): FIRST LOCATIONS IN THE VICINITY OF BARRETT SPRINGS WERE MADE IN 1906, WITH LITTLE ACTIVITY UNTIL 1910, WHEN C.E. CARPENTER DISCOVERED HIGH-GRADE GOLD IN THE AREA.
