Comments

Comment (Production): THE WINDY NO. 9 MINE PRODUCED 19 TONS OF ORE YIELDING 19 LBS U308 (0.05%) AND 147 LBS V205.

Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1979)

Comment (Deposit): THE ORE OCCURS IN THE MIDDLE SANDSTONE MEMBER OF THE CHINLE FORMATION. MINERALIZED LENSES UP TO 1 FT THICK, CONSISTING OF GRAY, CALCAREOUS CALY AND LIMESTONE-PEBBLE CONGLOMERATE ARE INTERBEDDED WITH A GRAY, MEDIUM-GRAINED, MEDIUM-SORTED, ARENITE. THE ARENITE IS TRUNCATED LATERALLY BY MAROON TO RED SANDSTONES AND SILTSTONES. UNMINERALIZED GRAY CONGLOMERATIC SANDSTONES OVERLIE AND UNDERLIE THE MINERALIZED ARENITE.

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSIST OF A 75-FOOT INCLINED ADIT.

Comment (Geology): THE DEPOSIT OCCURS IN THE MIDDLE SANDSTONE MEMBER OF THE CHINLE FORMATION.

Comment (Deposit): Discovery Year: EARLY 1950'S
