Comments

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: COUNTRY ROCK IS RADIOLARIAN CHERTS WITH CONSIDERABLE INTRUSIVE GREENSTONE AND SERPENTINE. THE CHERTS, MOSTLY THIN-BEDDED, ARE STAINED BY MANGANESE OXIDE IN PLACES. A MASSIVE CHERT BODY OF VARIEGATED COLORS IS CUT BY MANY FISSURES FILLED WITH MANGANESE OXIDE. THE OXIDE ALSO OCCURS AS STAINS, IMPREGNATIONS AND SMALL POCKETS IN MASSIVE CHERT.
