Comment (Workings): SEVERAL PROSPECT PITS, ONE SHORT ADIT

Comment (Geology): Small tonnages of mineralization is hosted by gently dipping beds of dark-gray and dark-green shale. The "red shale" of the Red Gulch Mine (to the south of this mine) probably lies 200 feet stratigraphically above this horizon (Lindgren, 1908). The ore is low grade. The small Queen Princess deposit is located close to the Acme.

Comment (Location): Location info is generalized from reports. Accurate to within approximately one mile north-south within trend of the Red Creek district. North end of the district, according to Lindgren (1908). Lindrgen (1908) reported both the Acme and the Queen Princess to be "half a mile north of Springfield", which was a tiny settlement in the valley of Red Creek.
