Comment (Workings): 70 FT HIGHWALL ON QUARRY

Comment (Deposit): IRON-STAINING AND CALCITE ALONG JOINTS WHICH FORM HIGHWALLS ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 3 FIELD OBSERV

Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1977)

Comment (Production): THE TOTAL PRODUCTION OF THE FELLA GROUP, WHICH COMPRISES FELLA, MOUNTAIN TIGER, SILVER CHIEF AND ROCKWELL, WAS ESTIMATED AS $750,000; PRODUCTION FIGURES ARE NOT AVAILABLE.

Comment (Deposit): THE ORE OUTCROPPED IN TWO PLACES. THREE LARGE BODIES AND SEVERAL SMALLER ONES WERE FOUND ABOUT 20 FEET BELOW THE SURFACE. THE ORE IS A SOFT YELLOW SILICEOUS CHLORIDE, AND IS HIGHLY OXIDIZED.

Comment (Workings): SEVERAL SHAFTS AND TUNNELS, IN ALL OVER 6,500 FT. THE ACTUAL WORKING DEVELOPMENT ON THE STRATUM CONTAINING ORE DOES NOT, HOWEVER, EXTEND OVER 125 FT. VERTICALLY AND 800 FEET HORIZONTALLY. THE WORKINGS ARE NOW CAVED AND INACCESSIBLE.

Comment (Geology): MINERALIZATION IS ASSOCIATED WITH JASPEROID.

Comment (Deposit): THE DEPOSIT IS CONFINED TO THE LOWER PART OF THE 'GREAT BLUE' LIMESTONE, WHERE IT DIPS GENTLY WESTWARD ON THE WESTERN FLANK OF OPHIR ANTICLINE. A FAULT TRENDING N45W WAS OBSERED AT THE MINE SITE, AND CONSIDERABLE WORK HAD BEEN DONE ALONG THE CONTACT OF A LAMPROPHYRE DIKE TRENDING DUE NORTH. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
