Each of the sections is now separately listed in the PLSS location table. This is a mini "district" containing several small discontinuous deposits. RELATIVE PERCENTAGES OF HEAVY MINERALS PRESENT, AS SHOWN BY 5 SAMPLES, ARE 78.4 OPAQUES, 10.6 ZIRCON, 7.2 CHLORITE (INCLUDING ALL MICACEOUS MINERALS), 1.6 ANATASE, AND 1.0 EACH GARNET, RUTILE, TOURMALINE, APATITE, MONAZITE, EPIDOTE, AND SPHENE. THESE ARE THE ONLY KNOWN DEPOSITS WHERE ANATASE OCCURS AS DISCRETE GRAINS AND IS PROBABLY AUTHIGENIC. THE POTENTIAL RESOURCES OF TITANIFEROUS SANDSTONE IN 19 WYOMING DEPOSITS, INCLUDING THE CUMBERLAND GAP AREA, ARE 21,873,000 ST WITH WEIGHTED AVERAGE GRADE PERCENTS OF 5.22 TIO2, 0.55 ZRO2, 24.75 FE, AND 0.15 EQUIVALENT THO2.
