Comments

Comment (Commodity): (1) LEMMON, D. M., (2) TUCKER AND SAMPSON

Comment (Deposit): FOUR FLAT LYING LAYERS, SEPERATED BY GRANITE SILLS

Comment (Deposit): CLAIMS INCLUDE COTTONWOOD NO. 1, NO. 2 AND NO. 3

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: TITANIFEROUS (ILMENITE) MAGNETITE IN MASSES OF PYROXENITE THAT ARE MAFIC SEGREGATIONS IN THE CARIBOU MONZONITE STOCK.

Comment (Geology): AGGREGATE AREA OF 16 ACRES. 36-59 PERCENT IRON, 2.5-3.6 PERCENT TITANIUM

Comment (Location): Location is centered on main mass of ultramafic rock (Iron dike) about 1000 ft NW of Caribou.

Comment (Production): SMALL TRIAL SHIPMENTS

Comment (Reserve-Resource): THE MASSES APPEAR SMALL AND WITH THEIR TITANIUM CONTENT ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AS IRON ORE

Comment (Reserve-Resource): A TACTITE BED 100 FT. BY 60 FT. WITH A THICKNESS OF 13 FT. IS ESTIMATED TO CONTAIN 7000 TONS. ORE BODIES TOO SMALL TO BE MINED ECONOMICALLY.

Comment (Workings): TOP AND BOTTOM LAYERS ARE POORLY EXPOSED, BUT 2 INTERMEDIATE LAYERS ARE WELL EXPOSED IN DEEP TRENCHES AND IN A 25 FT. SHAFT. AREA TRENCHED IS 80 FT. BY 140 FT.
