Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: ORE CONSISTS OF LOW GRADE MANGANESE OXIDE IN WHITE CHERT. N. ORE BODY IS LARGEST, AVERAGE WIDTH IS 8 FT., AND THE MAXIMUM 11 FT. BED STRIKES E., AND DIPS 70 S AT E. END AND 40 S. AT W. END. HANGING WALL IS MASSIVE WHITE CHERT, AND FOOTWALL IS THIN-BEDDED BUFF CHERT. W. ORE BODY IS 50 FT LONG, WITH AVERAGE WIDTH OF 3 FT, AND MAXIMUM OF 5 FT. STRIKE IS N 60 E, DIPPING 60 TO 70 S. E. THE BED IS SLIGHTLY FOLDED. E. DEPOSIT IS BROKEN BY SMALL FAULTS, WITH MAXIMUM WIDTH OF 5 FT.
