Comments

Comment (Location): N 1/2, UTM ACC

Comment (Production): THE MINE WAS ONE OF THE MOST PRODUCTIVE TUNGSTEN PRODUCDERS IN THE COUNTY

Comment (Deposit): SCHEELITE IS FOUND THROUGHOUT THE TACTITE ZONE, ESPECIALLY IN HIGHLY SILICIFIED ZONES, LARGE VOLUME OF RESIDUAL SOIL OVERLYING THE TACTITE CONTAINS SCHEELITE, IT HAS PROVED TO BE ORE IN SOME PLACES.

Comment (Workings): GLORY HOLE, OPEN PIT, A HAULAGE ADIT BELOW THE GLORY HOLE, AN INCLINED SHAFT IN THE SE END OF DRUM VALLEY. ADDITIONAL WORKINGS INCLUDE A 50 FT. ADIT AND A 20 FT. INCLINED SHAFT ON EAST SIDE OF HILL. 80 FT. BELOW MAIN WORKINGS ON NW SIDE OF HILL AN EXPLORATORY ADIT FAILED TO DEVELOP ANY ORE BELOW AND TO THE NORTH OF ORE BODY.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: MINE WORKINGS ARE ALONG THE CONTACTS OF AN IRREGULAR BODY OF LIME-RICH ROCKS ENCLOSED IN GRANODIORITE, METAMORPHIC ROCKS MAYBE CONNECTED WITH A LARGE BODY OF SCHIST AND HORNFELS THAT EXTENDS ALONG THE RIDGE TOP. BEDDING IN LARGER MASS OF MARBLE APPROXIMATELY PARALLELS THE PREVAILING NW TREND OF FOLIATION IN THE SCHIST, BEDDING IN THE SMALLER MARBLE BODY IS AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE PREVAILING TREND. GRANODIORITE IS FAIRLY MAFIC WITH NO PRONOUNCED FOLIATION.
