Comments

Comment (Deposit): DEPOSIT IS WELL-DEFINED QUARTZ-FLUORITE VEIN STRIKING NNW AND DIPPING 70 SW, LYING ON FAULT BELONGING TO EARLY BRECCIA REEF SYSTEM AND PROBABLY RELATED TO WEAKLY MINERALIZED FLOYD HILL-BERGEN PARK FRACTURE ZONE. SECOND SIMILAR BUT NARROWER VEIN TO NE OF AUGUSTA VEIN WAS NOT WORKED.

Comment (Workings): OLDER SURFACE CUTS; 130-FT-DEEP SHAFT; 270-FT CROSSCUT TUNNEL WITH 26-FT WINZE SUNK ON MAIN VEIN, 70 FT OF NORTH-SOUTH DRIFTS

Comment (Development): FIRST WORKED TO SUPPLY FLUORSPAR FLUX TO BLACK HAWK SMELTER, BUT MOST OF FLUORSPAR PRODUCTION RAILED TO PUEBLO. MINOR PRODUCTION OF CU-AG ORE. LASTLY, HIGHWAY DEPT USED DUMP ROCK FOR ROAD MATERIAL. LAST REPORTED METALS EXPLORATION IN 1968.

Comment (Location): ALONG UNNAMED TRIBUTARIES OF CUB CREEK ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1975)
