Comment (Development): OPERATED BY CANYON COPPER CO FROM 1901 TO 1908. WILLAIM RANDOLPH HEARST PURCHASED THE BELOW RIM PROPERTY IN 1913. ; ECON.COM: ORE WAS HAULED BY MULE TO THE TOP OF THE CANYON.

Comment (Geology): PRESENCE OF KAOLINITE AND FULLY HYDRATED ZEUNERITE SUGGESTS FORMATION TEMPERATURE UNDER 70 DEGREES C.
