Comments

Comment (Deposit): ZINC MINERALIZATION APPEARS TO HAVE PENETRATED THE LIMESTONE ALONG FRACTURES. THE TWO PRINCIPAL FRACTURES ARE 4 FT. APART AND A THIRD FRACTURE IS ABOUT 30 FT. FARTHER NE OF THEM.

Comment (Workings): LOWER, MIDDLE AND UPPER ADIT LOWER ADIT; THE NORTHEASTERN-MOST, 60 FT. LONG S 30 W. MIDDLE ADIT; A CROSSCUT 40 FT. TO THE SOUTH AT POINT 150 FT. SW AND 60 FT. HIGHER THAN LOWER ADIT. UPPER ADIT: 125 FT. ABOVE AND 250 FT. SW. OF MIDDLE ADIT, ITS 600 FT. LONG S 48 S., IN 1942 IT WAS CAVED AT 200 FT. FROM PORTAL.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: LIMESTONE IS PRE-CRETACEOUS IN AGE, PALE BLUISH WHITE, WHERE NOT STAINED BY IRON OXIDES, AND MEDIUM TO COARSE GRAINED. IT CONTAINS INTRUSIVE BODIES OF MESOZOIC BIOTITE GRANITE. THE LIMESTONE BODY CROPS OUT OVER AN AREA OF SEVERAL SQUARE MILES WEST AND SOUTH OF KELSO MINE.

Comment (Location): SE 1/4 SEC. 23 , UTM EST.

Comment (Production): 1943 : SEVERAL TENS OF TONS OF ORE PRODUCED CONTAINING 17.5 % ZN, 1.97 OZ. AG AND A FEW LBS. OF PB AND CU.
