Comments

Comment (Workings): THE INCLINED SHAFT FOLLOWS THE MAGNOLIA VEIN FOR A DISTANCE OF ABOUT 300 FT DOWNDIP, BUT LITTLE OF THE VEIN MATTER IS VISIBLE. AT 300 FT THE FIRST DRIFTS ARE FOUND. A CROSSCUT TO THE NORTHEAST CUTS THE HAYS VEIN AND THE CURRELLY VEIN. BOTH VEINS WER OPENED BY DRIFTS AND STOPES. OTHER CROSSCUTS EXIST. THE INCLINE CONTINUES DOWNWARD BELOW THE WORKINGS ON THE 300 FT LEVEL. A DRIFT AT THE 400 FT LEVEL WORKS THE HAYS VEIN. A DRIFT NEARLY 100 FT FARTHER DOWN ALSO WORKS THE HAYS VEIN.

Comment (Geology): THE VEINS ARE INTERSECTED BY 3 MAJOR FAULTS

Comment (Deposit): THE MINE WAS FIRST OPENED AROUND 1862 AND WORKED UNTIL 1890. THEREAFTER WORKING WAS ERRATIC. IN 1936 WORK WAS PROCEDING TO REOPEN THE MAGNOLIA SHAFT

Comment (Location): CHOSE A POINT IN W 1/2 SEC

Comment (Production): MORE THAN $100,000 WAS PRODUCED.

Comment (Deposit): RETICULATE VEIN PATTERN WITH IRREGULAR ORE SHOOTS THAT ARE GENERALLY LESS THAN 100 FT LONG
