Comments

Comment (Production): ABOUT HALF OF THE TOTAL URANIUM PRODUCTION FOR THE STATE OF NEVADA (ESTIMATED AT26,000 TONS OF ORE THROUGH 1969 WORTH $470,000).

Comment (Development): THE DEPOSIT WAS FIRST MINED AS A SILVER DEPOSIT. FIVE TONS OF ORE VALUED AT $97/TON, WERE REPORTEDLY SHIPPED.

Comment (Deposit): THE DEPOSIT OCCURS IN QUARTZITE OF CAMBRIAN AGE ALONG EAST-TRENDING RHYOLITE DIKES AND IN CONTACT ZONES WITH QUARTZ MONZONITE.

Comment (Deposit): THE ORE BODIES MINED WERE SMALL AND THE GRADE OF THE ORE WAS MARGINAL. DEVELOPMENT CONSISTS OF TRENCHES, PITS, AND SEVERAL THOUSANDS OF FEET OF UNDERGROUND WORKINGS. THIS DEPOSIT IS AT THE SITE OF AN EARLIER SILVER DEPOSIT.

Comment (Workings): DEVELOPMENT CONSISTS OF TRENCHES, PITS, AND SEVERAL THOUSANDS OF FEET OF UNDERGROUND WORKINGS.

Comment (Geology): THE DEPOSIT OCCURS IN QUARTZITE OF CAMBRIAN AGE ALONG EAST-TRENDINGRHYOLITE DIKES AND IN BRECCIATED CONTACT ZONES WITH QUARTZ MONZONITE. URANIUM MINERALS ARE LOCALIZED ALONG THE DIKES, BRECCIA ZONES, ANTICLINAL FOLDS, AND FAULTS IN THE QUARTZITE AND IN CCRUSHED SHALY SILTSTONE BEDS.
