HYDRAULIC OPERATIONS COMMENCED EARLY PART OF 1936, BUT CEASED WHEN HEAVY RAINS WASHED OUT THE DITCHES; OPERATIONS TO RESUME IN NOVEMBER. MAP GP-561 SHOWS 2 MINE LOCS. IN SE 1/4 SE 1/4 OF SEC.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: THE GRAVEL BANK AVERAGES 75' IN HEIGHT, WITH A WIDTH OF ABOUT 600' AND A LENGTH OF 2640'. ESTIMATED THERE ARE 4,400,000 CU. YDS. OF WORKABLE GRAVEL, AVERAGING 30? A YD. THE GRAVEL IS TIGHT BUT NOT CEMENTED. BEDROCK IS A SOFT, LAMINATED SLATE.
