SOME OF THE WORKINGS SAID TO HAVE BEEN IN GRAVEL, BUT ABOVE BEDROCK, AND THE TROUGH OF THE CHANNEL WAS NOT EXPLORED. OPERATION A FAILURE DUE TO IMPRACTICAL MINING METHODS USED.
