Comment (Deposit): SEVEN CLAIMS. THREE OTHER LENSES OF MANGANESE CROP OUT WITHIN 100 TO 200 YARDS NORTH AND WEST OF THE BULLDOZER CUTS.
Comment (Production): 85 TONS OF ORE HAVE BEEN PRODUCED, RUNNING 39.7 PERCENT MANGANESE IN 1943. ABOUT 30 TONS OF ORE ANALYZING 42 PERCENT MANGANESE STRIPPED AND SORTED IN 1955. SOME STRIPPING DONE IN 1956 BUT NO PRODUCTION.
Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: LENTICULAR MANGANESE OXIDE BODIES AVERAGE 2 BY 6 BY 8 FT., AND ARE SEPARATED BY BARREN CHERT AND INTERBEDDED SHALES THAT STRIKE N - S AND DIP 32 E. ORE OCCURS IN PLACES ALONG N - S. STRIKE OF 250 FT.
