ORE BEDS ARE SILICEOUS ORE (MANGANIFEROUS META CHERT) WITH POCKETS AND LENSES OF HIGH GRADE ORE, CUT BY QUARTZ VEINS. ORE IS MOSTLY HARD BLUE-BLACK PSILOMELANE, SOME SOFT, BLACK PYROLUSITE AND A HARD BLACK CRYSTALLINE MINERAL. PINK RHODONITE FRAGMENTS FOUND ON DUMP. AREA HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO FAULTING.
