Comment (Deposit): MAJOR FAULTS AND FRACTURES INTERSECTING REACTIVE HOST ROCKS CAPPED BY DUNDERBERG SHALE LOCALIZED ORE BODIES

Comment (Workings): SHAFT AND ASSOCIATED WORKINGS

Comment (Deposit): PRODUCTION BEGAN IN 1956. THIRTY THOUSAND TONS VALUED AT 1.650,000 WAS PRODUCED BEFORE THE SHAFT WAS ABANDONED IN 1958. THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED NEAR THE CENTER OF THE ADAMS HILL AREA, ONE OF FIVE MINERALIZED BLOCKS IN THE DISTRICT. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT

Comment (Geology): THE DEPOSIT IS WITHIN THE UPPER PLATE OF THE RUBY HILL THRUST BLOCK, THE ORE MINED WAS COMPLETELY OXIDIZED, HOWEVER PRIMARY SULFIDE ORE WAS FOUND AT THE 1,050 FOOT LEVEL. MINERALIZING FLUIDS TRAVELLED UP THE MAJOR FAULT ZONES, INTO THE PERMEABLE REACHED DOLOMITE ALONG SMALLER FAULTS AND FRACTURE ZONES, THE OVERLYING DUNDERBERG SHALE ALSO SERVED TO CAP THE ASCENDING FLUIDS.
