Comments

Comment (Reserve-Resource): RESOURCES AS OF 1/83.

Comment (Reserve-Resource): MATRIX ONE IS A NONCUMULATIVE MATRIX OF AVAILABLE RESERVES.

Comment (Deposit): WATER MUST BE OBTAINED FROM WELLS AND POWER GENERATED AT THE SITE. THE PRESENT ACCESS ROAD NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. GENERAL LOCATION IS ABOUT 82 KM NE OF WELLS. GENERAL SIZE OF ORE BODY IS LARGE.

Comment (Development): DIAMOND DRILLING DONE

Comment (Geology): SCHEELITE IN QUARTZ VEINS

Comment (Location): EASTERN CONTACT ZONE

Comment (Production): UNION CARBIDE CORP. MINED ABOUT 12500 TONS OF ORE IN1974 AND 1975 THAT AVG 0.25 PERCENT WO3 BUT ONLY 125 TONS WAS MILLED AND YIELDED 14 UNITS OF WO3

Comment (Geology): INDIAN SPRINGS TUNGSTEN DEPOSIT IS LOCATED ON THE GAMBLE RANCH, NEAR INDIAN SPRINGS, ON THE EASTERN SLOPE OF THE DELANO MTS. MOST OF THE HIGH-TEMPERATURE PNEUMATOLYTIC QUARTZ VEINS OCCUR ON EASTERN CONTACT OF THE INDIAN SPRINGS STOCK. THE BULK OF THE SCHEELITE OCCURS IN THE QUARTZ VEINS RATHER THAN THE NEARBY TACTITES. DIAMOND DRILL CORES FROM THE EASIER CONTACT ZONE HAVE SHOWN QUARTZ VEINS CONTAINING ABUNDANT PYRITE AND SOME MOLYBDENITE IN PEGMATITE LENSES, AND NEAR ZONES OF POTASSIC AND SERICITIC ALTERATION. MINOR AMOUNTS OF CHALCOPYRITE ARE ALSO PRESENT. MINERAL EXPLORATION IS CURRENTLY BEING CARRIED ON ON THE PROPERTY BY UTAH INTERNATIONAL, A DIVISION OF GENERAL ELECTRIC CORP.
