Comment (Reserve-Resource): Estimated to have 1,500 tons of mirabilite, Na2SO4.10H2O, on the surface and 100,000 tons in the black mud, and 25,000 tons of epsomite, MgSO4.7H2O, on the surface and 150,000 tons in the black muds.

Comment (Identification): Probably should be called Soda Lake as that is the name on the topo map (Pine Tree Ridge 1:24,000). Unable to determine why this is called Brooklyn Lake. Lake described in WGS Bull. 50 says lake is 116.4 acres.

Comment (Reserve-Resource): EST 1500 TONS ON SURFACE&100,000 TONS IN MUD OF MIRABILITE A EST 25000 TONS ON SURFACE & 150000 TONS IN MUD OF EPSOMITE A

Comment (Deposit): "The surface has a salt crust from zero to 6 in. thick, and a layer of black mud from zero to 6 ft. thick contains salt." This is NOT NaCl although one sample contains 5.28% NaCl. NaCL should be considered a trace or impurity. Therefore, AB Wilson changed this record from NaCl as the primary commodity to Mg-compounds (Epsomite), and Na_Sulfate (Mirabilite).
