Comments

Comment (Location): Political location in record is Ravalli county, Montana. However, original lat/long plots 5 km inside adjacent Lemhi county, Idaho, near Horse Creek. Original coordinates were: lat/long NAD27 45-29-7N 114-28-57W (45.4853 -114.4825); UTM N5039726 E696740 Z11N; PLSS line# 1: Meridian- Montana Principal, TWNSHP 002 S, RNG 023 W, Sect 19, Sect_fract . PLSS coordinates translate to 45.648, -114.486 (45 38 52N 114 29 09W). This location is on Blue Joint Creek in Ravalli county. The PLSS longitude minutes/seconds look suspiciously similar to the original latitude minutes/seconds. And the PLSS latiitude minutes/seconds are 10 minutes from the original longitude minutes/seconds. So location was changed to the PLSS coordinates.
