Comments

Comment (Environmental Factors): NO MILL TAILINGS WERE OBSERVED AT THIS SITE DURING THE INVESITGATION. ONE DISCHARGING ADIT WAS IDENTIFIED. MAXIMUM CONTAMINANT LEVELS WERE EXCEEDED FOR ARSENIC, COPPER, CADMIUM, AND ANTIMONY IN THE DISCHARGE. THE PH MEASUREMENT IN THE ADIT DISCHARGE WAS 2.9. THE DISCHARGE ENTERED BASIN CREEK DOWNSTREAM FROM THE SITE. SURFACE WATER AND SEDIMENT SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED FROM BASIN CREEK UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM FROM THE ADIT DISCHARGE CONFLUENCE. OBSERVED RELEASES TO BASIN CREEK (SEDIMENT) WERE DOCUMENTED FOR ARSENIC, LEAD, AND ANTIMONY, WHICH WERE DIRECTLY ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE SITE. NO HAZARDOUS MINE OPENINGS WERE IDENTIFIED AT THE SITE.
