Comment (Deposit): ECHO BAY IS MINING A WESTWARD EXTENSION OF THE NIAGARA VEIN. EXPLORATION WAS DONE IN 1984-85, AND PRODUCTION BEGAN IN MARCH 1988. ECHO BAY REFERS TO THAT OPERATION AS NEW CONGRESS. SEE SEQUENCE NUMBER 0040250537.

Comment (Geology): STRIKE IS E-W AND DIP IS 20-30 DEGREES N.

Comment (Reserve-Resource): POSSIBLE RESOURCES AT THE CONGRESS MINE ARE UNKNOWN, BUT IN MID-1988, ECHO BAY MINES, LTD. WAS CONSIDERING STARTING AN EXPLORATION PROGRAM TO DETERMINE WHETHER MINABLE RESOURCES MIGHT STILL EXIST AT THE PROPERTY.
