Comment (Production): Production Notes = Possibly minor production at different times during long period of exploratory work.

Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Placer Au (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 39a)

Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Multiple placer claims, extensively explored. 'Some gold won from time to time' (Capps, 1919). Up to 0.018 oz/yd3 Au in analysis of stream-sediment samples (Kurtak and others, 1992).

Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Host is alluvial gravels. Minor concentrations of flour gold occur at or near surface of auriferous stream gravel deposits. Source rocks may be lode deposits associated with granodiorite intrusions of Tertiary age drained by Indian River to the NE.
