Comment (Development): NEARLY ALL MINING BY DRIFTING, GROUNDSLUICING, AND SHOVELING IN. MINED IN 1975 BY BULLDOZER.

Comment (Deposit): GOLD IN BASAL GRAVEL AND IN UPPER 1-2 FT. OF BEDROCK. ALL PRODUCTIVE PLACERS IN THE PRESENT CREEK GRAVELS; NO BENCH PLACERS GOLD IN LOWER 3 MILES OF CREEK; PAY STREAK UP TO 200 FT. WIDE AND 6 FT. THICK. GRAVEL 3-12 FT. THICK OVERLAIN BY 3-16 FT. OF MUCK.

Comment (Geology): CREEK CUTS AURIFEROUS GRAVEL BENCHES (CALIFORNIA AND IDAHO BARS, SEE TANANA (B-1) EAST OF MINOOK CREEK. VALLEY IS STRAIGHT, V-SHAPED, AND CUTS 500-700 FT. BELOW SURFACE OF BENCH. ; MAJOR.UNITS: BEDROCK IS PERM-TRI SLATE, SHALE, LIMESTONE, CHERT, DIABASE, AND GREENSTONE. ROCKS JOINTED AND SHEARED; MINERALIZED WITH PYRITE AND CHALCOPYRITE; AND ARE CUT BY MANY QUARTZ-CARBONATE AND QUARTZ VEINS, AT LEAST ONE OF WHICH IS AURIFEROUS. ; REG.COM: GOLD IN PLACERS LARGELY RECONCENTRATED FROM BENCH GRAVELS.
