Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Placer gold deposit (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 39a).

Comment (Production): Production Notes = Production from 1903 to 1910 was worth $120,000 with gold valued at $17.66 per ounce (Prindle and Katz, 1913).

Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Pay gravel is shallow, from 8 to 12 feet deep, over quartzite schist and porphyritic granite bedrock (Prindle, 1904; Prindle and Katz, 1909). Cassiterite is common in concentrates (Prindle and Katz, 1909). This placer was mined sporadically from 1903 to 1927 (Cobb, 1976; OFR 76-633). Production from 1903 to 1910 was valued at $120,000 with gold worth $17.66 per ounce (Prindle and Katz, 1913).
