Comment (Deposit): CASSITERITE DISSEMINATED IN QUARTZ-TOURMALINE-TOPAZ-FLUORITE-GREISEN (1) ALONG THE ROOF ZONE OF LATE STAGE, SUBHORIZONTAL, SHEET-LIKE BODY OF ZINNWALDITE GRANITE, (2) IN AND AROUND TWO STEEPLY DIPPING CYLINDRICAL PIPES OF GREISENIZED GRANITE, (3) IN GREISENIZED DIKES, AND (4) STOCKWORK VEINLETS IN SCHIST; TANTALITE-COLUMBITE OCCURS AS DISSEMINATED GRAINS IN ZINNWALDITE GRANITE LATERAL TO SN-BEARING GREISEN IN ROOF ZONE; QUARTZ, QUARTZ-TOURMALINE, AND TOURMALINE STRINGERS IN SCHIST ABOVE GRANITIC INTRUSIVE COMPLEX CONTAIN CASSITERITE, PYRRHOTITE, ARSENOPYRITE, AND CHALCOPYRITE.

Comment (Workings): 9200 M OF DIAMOND DRILL HOLES, 1100 M OF BULLDOZER TRENCHING WERE COMPLETED BY 1983.

Comment (Geology): ALTERATION INTENSITY (DEGREE OF DESTRUCTION OF IGNEOUS TEXTURE), SN GRADE AND TA-NB CONTENT INCREASE UPWARD IN ZINNWALDITE GRANITE BODY. GRANITIC INTRUSIVE COMPLEX CONSISTING OF (1) PORPHYRITIC BIOTITE GRANITE, (2) FINE GRAINED APLITIC GRANITE, (3) FELDSPAR-QUARTZ PORPHYRY, (4) EQUIGRANULAR GRANITE, AND (5) EQUIGRANULAR ZINNWALDITE GRANITE. ZINNWALDITE GRANITE INTRUDED INTO PELITIC SCHIST.
