Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Cady and others (1955) reported that during the course of their studies they saw evidence or heard reports of placer gold prospecting along this creek. Short traverse by M. L. Miller in 1992 on ridge drained by creek confirms presence of granite porphyry dikes -- similar to those associated with gold occurrences in the Iditarod quadrangle.
