Comment (Deposit): PRINCE FISSURE IS DOMINANT PRODUCER WHICH OCCURS ALONG A NORTHEAST STRIKING NORMAL FAULT WITH SHALL DISPLACEMENT. MINERALIZATION OCCURS AS FOUR DISCRETE ORE SHOOTS SPACED ABOUT 200 FEET APART. EACH SHOOT IS ON THE AVERAGE 75 FEET LONG, 1.5 FEET WIDE, AND RANGE FROM 1200 TO 700 FEET DEEP. VEIN IS SAID TO BE BEDDED, WHICH PROBABLY MEANS IT IS COMPOSITIONALLY BANDED PARALLEL TO THE VEIN WALLS. RELATIVELY MINOR REPLACEMENT MINERALIZATION OCCURS AT THE BASE OF THE ORE SHOOTS. LAMPHOPHYRE DIKE APPEARS TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRINCE FISSURE

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS INCLUDE A MINIMUM OF 1670 FEET OF TUNNELS, 420 FEET OF SHAFT AND STOPES IN 1874. FIGURE LISTED ABOVE IS AN ABSOLUTE MINIMUM FOR THE AREA. TEN SHAFTS AND THIRTEEN ADITS LOCATED ON SURFACE IN THIS AREA. NAMES AND LOCATIONS OF MORE MAJOR WORKINGS GIVEN UNDER LOCATION COMMENTS

Comment (Geology): NUMEROUS THRUSTS REPEAT MISSISSIPPIAN LIMESTONE SECTION WHICH IS DOMINANT HOST ROCK. OLDEST ROCKS FOUND IN WORKINGS ARE LOWER CAMBRIAN TINTIC QUARTZITE, YOUNGEST FORMATION IS HUMBUG LIMESTONE.

Comment (Location): SEVERAL CLAIM BLOCKS CONSOLIDATED IN 1911 TO FORM THE ALTA TUNNEL AND AND TRANSPORTATION COMPANY.
