Comment (Production): 1898-1902 MORE THAN 226,500 CU. YDS. GRAVEL HYDRAULICKED; IN 1908 APPROX. 69,000 YDS. HYDRAULICKED.

Comment (Workings): WORK COMMENCED IN FALL OF 1934; MINE BEING PROSPECTED UPSTREAM THROUGH A 600' TUNNEL.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: FIRST WORKED AS HYDRAULIC MINE (JUPITER) THEN AS DRIFT MINE (SAN DOMINGO). GRAVEL IS SLIGHTLY CEMENTED AND CONTAINS SOME BOULDERS; ROUGH SLATE BEDROCK. FROM 18" TO 2' OF BEDROCK IS MINED AND TREATED IN THE WASHING PLANT. THE CHANNEL IS STEEP-SIDED AND 125' WIDE.
