Comment (Geology): 3 VEINS, INCLUDE ASTER & CHINA, 1 1/2 & 2 1/2 FT AVE. THICKNESS. RESPECTIVELY. ASTER VEIN STRIKES N 10 E, DIPS 60 NW, ASSOCIATED W. DIORITE DIKE MAINLY ON FOOTWALL SIDE. CHINA VEIN 60 - 100 FT W., STRIKES N 10 E, DIPS 30 - 60 DEG NW. 3RD VEIN 250 FT FURTHER W. STRIKES N 10 W, DIPS STEEPLY W. ALSO SMALL W STRIKING CROSS VEIN.

Comment (Deposit): VEINS

Comment (Production): AFTER EARLIER OPERATIONS MINE WAS REOPENED IN THE 1950S. IN EARLY 1960S MILLING-GRADE ORE WAS BEING STOCK PILED. HIGHER-GRADE MAT'L WAS HAND SORTED ORE SHIPPED TO SELBY SMELTER.

Comment (Workings): 600 FT ADIT ON ASTER VEIN, W. TWO X-CUTS TO CHINA VEIN, W 140 FT DRIFT ALONG IT, AT 300 & 400 FT IN FROM ADIT PORTAL. OTHER WORKINGS MOSTLY INACCESSIBLE. IN EARLY 1960S OWNERS WERE DRIVING A DRIFT ALONG THE WEST VEIN.
