Comment (Workings): A TOTAL OF 2500 FT. OF DRIFTS ON THE 100 , 150 , 250 , 300 AND 350 FT. LEVELS. CROSS CUT TUNNEL OF 1100 FT. WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE BEEN LENGTHENED TO 1700 FT.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: CRUMPLED BLACK SLATES, SLATY MICA SCHISTS COARSER GRAINED GNEISSES. 3 MAJOR PARALLEL VEINS, THE BONDURANT, REYNOLDS AND LOUISIANA. ORE SHOOTS AT 300 FT LEVEL AND BETWEEN THE 150 AND 200 FT LEVEL. ALTERED DIKE ROCK IS PROBABLY FINE GRAINED BIOTITE-RICH GRANODIORITE. BONDURANT VEIN IS 18 IN. TO 4 FT. THICK.

Comment (Deposit): 2ND OLDEST PATENTED MINE IN THE COUNTY. COMPRISES NEARLY 1000 ACRES; 100 ACRES OF PATENTED MINERAL LAND, 740 ACRES OF PATENTED TIMBER LAND, TWO TUNNEL LOCATIONS AND ONE MILL SITE.

FROM 1940 - 1942 AN ADDITIONAL 12-14,000 TONS WAS MINED WHICH YIELDED APPROX. $98,000. BETWEEN 1911 - 1915 APPROX. 746 TONS ORE YIELDED 431.95 OZ AU, 259 OZ AG, 3672 POUNDS OF CU. FROM 1931 - 1940 A TOTAL OF 16,595 TONS ORE YIELDED 7879.92 OZ GOLD AND 5176 OZ AG. ALSO 85,000 LBS OF PB WAS PRODUCED PROBABLY IN THE PERIOD FROM 1880 - 1940 .
