Comments

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: SOFT BLACK MANGANESE OXIDES OCCUR AS MATRIX ABOUT FRAGMENTS OF DARK GREEN CHERT, AND AS OUTER RIMS, POCKETS AND MINUTE GASH VEINLETS IN THE HARDER CHERT. CHERT DIPS STEEPLY TO N. E. ABOVE CHERT OCCURS THIN CLAY LAYER RETAINING TEXTURES SUGGESTIVE OF ALTERED TUFFACEOUS CLASTICS, FOLLOWED ABOVE BY FIRMER DARK COLORED SERICITIC SLATE.
