Comment (Geology): ADIT CUTS SANDSTONE, THEN SERPENTINIZED DIKE, AND THEN AN ANDESITIC DIKE. LAST 50 FT. IN LIGHT GREEN, CHLORITIC SCHIST WITH LAYERS OF GRAPHITIC SCHIST. SERPENTINE DIKE, 73 FT. THICK, STRIKES N 77.5 W TOWARD MAIN VEIN. AVERILL (1926) DESCRIBES A DECOMPOSED 'PORPHYRY'.
