Comments
Comment (Deposit): CLOTS AND STRINGERS OF SCHEELITE AND POWELLITE IN SKARN. QUARTZ PEGMATITE ALSO CARRIES FINE SPRAYS AND CLOTS OF MOLYBDENITE AND OXIDIZED PYRITE CRYSTALS. LATE STAGE OPALINE SILICA COATS ROCKS. GARNETIFEROUS PHYLLITE/ SCHIST IN FLOAT. INTRUSIVE DIKES (N30E, 30 NW) ARE INTENSELY FRACTURED AND CRUSHED AT EXPOSED BASE (OR LOWEST UNIT). THIN QUARTZ VEINLETS 0.5-1 FT WIDE ALSO CARRY SCHEELITE. A THIN TACTITE ZONE ABOUT 200 FT LONG BORDERS THE GRANITE PEGMATITE, WHICH ALSO CONTAINS SMALL AMOUNTS OF SCHEELITE.
Comment (Workings): REMAINS OF STONE CABINS, OLD HAULAGE ROADS, MINOR PROSPECT PITS, NUMEROUS CUTS, 20-FT SHAFT, ALL IN A 200-FT SQUARE AREA. NO UNDERGROUND WORKINGS NOTED IN 1983.
Comment (Deposit): DISTRICT UNORGANIZED ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
Comment (Geology): DISSEMINATED SCHEELITE IN AMPHIBOLITE NEAR LARGE PEGMATITE BODIES
Comment (Development): 28 CLAIMS. INTERMITTENTLY EXPLORED IN 1920'S. NO ACTIVITY AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN 1983.
Comment (Location): AREA UNSURVEYED, UTM'S PROBABLY ACCURATE
