Comment (Deposit): THE DEPOSIT IS LOCATED AT THE APEX OF A THIN ALLUVIAL FAN. ORE CONSISTS OF VEINS IN A SMALL PLUG OF RHYOLITE PORPHYRY WHICH HAS INTRUDED

Comment (Geology): ORE CONSISTS OF VEINS IN A SMALL PLUG OF RHYOLITE PORPHYRY WHICH HAS INTRUDED NOW SCHISTOSE LIMERICK GREENSTONE. COARSE GOLD GENERALLY OCCURS EMBEDDED IN MASSES OF LIMONITE THAT HAVE RESULTED FROM OXIDATION OF ARSENOPYRITE. THE HAGAN LODE WAS ONE SOURCE FOR THE PLACER DEPOSITS IN LIMERICK BASIN.
