THE SHEAR ZONE CONTAINS GOUGE, SMALL STRINGERS AND PODS OF QUARTZ, AND SMALL PODS AND STRINGERS OF STIBNITE WITHIN THE QUARTZ. THE AREA JUST DESCRIBED ARE THE WORKINGS AT THE BOUNDARY OF SEC 23 & 24 IN SHALEY LIMESTONE CUT BY A DIABASE SILL-. NO MINERALIZATION WAS NOTED ON THE DUMPS ON THE NORTH SIDE O-F THE CANYON. THE MAIN ANTIMONY MINE IS IN THE CENTER OF SEC 2-4 IN ROCHESTER RHYOLITE. THE QUARTZ VEIN STRIKES N30E, DIP 45 -SE AND CONTAINS ABUNDANT STIBNITE AND SB OXIDES. SOME HAND-SOR-TED ORE IS IN BARRELS ON DUMP. ABOUT 50 METERS TO THE EAST IS -ANOTHER ADIT NOW CAVED WHICH EXPLORES A N50W-TRENDING MINERALI-ZED FAULT ZONE WHICH DIPS 35 SW.
