Comment (Geology): SEVERAL VEINS OF MAGNETITE AND HEMATITE FROM 1 TO 20 FEET WIDE AND UP TO 100 FEET LONG STRIKE N30E, DIP 60E IN ANDESITE, AND DACITE, ALONG WITH RHYOLITE FLOWS & BRECCIAS. ORE MINERALS OCCUR WITH QUARTZ AS VUGGY OPEN-SPACE FILLINGS IN THE BRECCIA, IRON WAS PROBABLY DERIVED FROM DUETERICALLY ALTERRED LOWER CRET. PLUTONIC ROCK (MUFFLER, 1964).
