Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Deposit): LONG, NARROW, LENTICULAR REPLACEMENT ALONG BEDDING IN AGRILLITE AND CHERT. IT FEATHERS OUT IN ALL DIRECTIONS. 3 DISCONTINUOUS OREBODIES ELONGATED ALONG STRIKE OF HOST ROCKS, UP TO 820 FT. LONG.
Comment (Workings): 2 SHORT ADITS, TRENCHING, DRILLING
Comment (Development): 5 UNPATENTED CLAIMS ON MANGANESE PROSPECT
Comment (Deposit): THE PROPERTY COMPRISES FIVE UNPATENTED MINING CLAIMS LOCATED IN 1934. THE ONLY DEVELOPEMENT IN 1950 WERE TWO SHORT ADITS. THE USBM UNDERTOOK EXPLORATION OF THE PROPERTY IN 1940 WITH A PROGRAM OF MAPPING, SAMPLING, TRENCHING, AND DRILLING. FOR RESULTS FROM THE PROGRAM AND DIAMOND DRILL HOLES SEE USBM REPT OF INV. 4713. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
Comment (Geology): THE DEPOSIT IS A LONG NARROW LENTICULAR REPLACEMENT ALONG BEDDING IN ARGILLITE AND CHERT THAT STRIKES N45 DEG W AND DIPS 40 DEG. THE ORE BODY FEATHERS OUT IN ALL DIRECTIONS AND IS CUT BY SEVERAL COMPLEX FAULTS AND FOLDS. DRILLING OUTLINED THREE DISCONTINUOUS ORE BODIES ELONGATED ALONG THE STRIKE OF THE HOST ROCKS, THE LONGEST WAS 820 FEET.
