Comments
Comment (Deposit): THE RICHER DEPOSITS OCCUR IN IRREGULAR MASSES, ALONG THE GRANITE PORPHYRY AND LIMESTONE CONTACT. THE LARGER BODIES OF LOWER GRADE, PARTLY OXIDIZED AND PYRITE ORE, ARE FOUND IN THE LIMESTONE ADJACENT TO THE CONTACT.
Comment (Workings): FOUR SHAFTS, 3 OF WHICH HAVE CONNECTING CROSSCUTS AND DRIFTS
Comment (Geology): THE CONTACTS BETWEEN THE GRANITE-PORPHYRY AND LIMESTONE ARE IRREGULAR AND JAGGED, VERTICALLY AND HORIZONTALLY. BOTH ROCKS ARE HIGHLY SILICIFIED. ORE STRINGERS VARY FROM MERE THIN COATINGS TO SEVERAL INCHES. THE SHAFT ON LEASE NO. 1 MINED LOW-GRADE MATERIAL; CU CONTENT OF 2 1/2-5%. NO. 1 COMPANY SHAFT SHOWS 3 FEET OF ORE AVERAGING 7% CU AND 5 FEET OF 4% MATERIAL. NO. 2 SHAFT (200 FT DEEP) EXPOSES 3 FEET OF ORE AVERAGING 8% CU AND 4 FEET OF 4% CU ORE. SHAFT NO. 3 (315 FT. DEEP) INTERSECTED VEIN AT 260 FOOT LEVEL. VEIN WAS 12 TO 14 FEET WIDE WITH AVERAGE OF 4.2% CU.
Comment (Deposit): CONSISTS OF 5 CLAIMS: COPPER MOUNTAIN AND COPPER MOUNTAIN NO.S 1, 4, AND 5; AND SNOW STORM ; INFO.SRC : 2 UNPUB REPT
Comment (Location): LOCATION ESTIMATED; PREVIOUS QUAD DESIGNATION = COPPER MOUNTAIN (1979) 1:24000
