Comments
Comment (Deposit): ADDITIONAL WORKINGS ARE APPROX. 600 FT. SOUTHEAST OF THE SERIES OF ADITS AND NEARLY 160-180 FT. ABOVE THE PRINCIPAL, WORKING ADIT. A N83W-S83E, 50 FT. LONG DRIFT IS ENTERED BY A 16 FT. DEEP SHAFT ON ITS WEST END AND A 20 FT. DEEP INCLINED (45 DEGREES) SHAFT ON ITS EAST END. A N80W, 45 NE, 3-5 FT. WIDE ZONE CARRYING PLUMBOJAROSITE, HEMATITE, LIMONITE, AND BARITE WAS WORKED. ; INFO.SRC : 3 FIELD OBSERV; 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT
Comment (Location): LOCATED IN ROYAL GULCH
Comment (Production): AT THE TIME OF NOLAN'S EXAMINATION ON ORE CHUTE EXTENDED FROM THE WORKING ADIT (WENCH NOTED IN 1980) TO THE CANYON BOTTOM; NO FIGURES ARE AVAILABLE, HOWEVER.
Comment (Deposit): THE MINERALIZATION CONSISTS OF REPLACEMENT ORE BODIES LOCALIZED BY BEDDING-PLANE FAULTS AND OTHER FRACTURES (JOINTS, FAULTS).
Comment (Workings): THE PRINCIPAL WORKING IS THE MIDDLE OF THREE ADITS; IT WORKED A 1-3.5 FT. WIDE BEDDING REPLACEMENT ZONE OF BARITE AND GALENA, AND IS APPROX. 200 FT. LONG, INCLUDING DRIFTS. THE LOWER ADIT IS CAVED-IN; THE UPPER ADIT IS ONLY ABOUT 10 FT. LONG AND TRENDS N25E INTO THE SLOPE.
Comment (Geology): CONSIDERABLE GALENA IS PRESENT IN THE PRINCIPAL ADIT; THE ORE IN THE UPPER SOUTHERN WORKINGS IS ALMOST ENTIRELY OXIDIZED.
