Comment (Deposit): WORKINGS EXPOSE MASSIVE WHITE QUARTZ VEIN, HIGHLY SHATTERED AND BRECCIATED. PROMINENT SHEARING PERPENDICULAR TO VEIN. THE VEIN IS HEAVILY STAINED WITH FE-MN OXIDES. ADDITIONAL QUARTZ VEINS OUTCROP UPSLOPE FROM SITE. FRAGMENTS OF QUARTZ PORPHYRY INTRUSIVE CONTAIN MINOR PYRITE OXIDIZING TO HEMATITE AND GOSSAN. VEIN IS PROBABLY FILLING A FAULT WHICH SEPARATES SHALE FROM OVERLYING QUARTZITE. MALACHITE IN FLOAT NEARBY
