Comments
Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSIST OF A LARGE OPEN CUT AND A SHALLOW 65-FT INCLINE WINZE (1932), A 100 FT TUNNEL, WITH CONSIDERABLE STOPING FROM THE WINZE AND ON THE TUNNEL LEVEL
Comment (Location): AREA UNSURVEYED; 400 FT E OF GYPSY FISSURE OF BRISTOL SILVER MINE, ABOUT 450 FT E OF GYPSY SHAFT ON N SLOPING HILLSIDE ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)
Comment (Deposit): NATIONAL FISSURE - ABOUT 400 FT E OF THE GYPSY FISSURE. IT INTERSECTS BOTH THE MAY DAY AND TEMPEST FISSURES AND OFFSET THEM A FEW FEET IN PLACES. ORE OCCURS REPLACING LIMESTONE, AND IN CONJUNCTION WITH SEVERAL N20W FISSURES. IT CONTAINED CONSIDERABLE COPPER AS MALACHITE AND CHRYSOCOLLA WITH SOME RED AND BLACK OXIDES. LOCALLY THE ORE EXTENDS SHORT DISTANCES OUT FROM THE FISSURE VEIN INTO THE LIMESTONES PARALLEL TO THEIR BEDDING.
