Comments

Comment (Workings): PROSPECT PITS AND ONE OPEN CUT UP TO 7 M DEEP. ALSO A SMALL HEAP LEACH PAD WITH A 1-M THICK PILE OF ORE. PAD IS 8 X 10 M. A PROSPECT 0.5 KM TO THE NORTH IS PROBABLY SIMILAR.

Comment (Deposit): OXIDE COPPER MINERALS AND LIMONITE GOSSAN OCCUR ALONG FRACTURES IN A N 10 W, VERTICAL SHEAR ZONE IN LIGHT GRAY PHYLLITE. THE ZONE IS 2-4 M WIDE AND THE ROCK APPEARS TO BE SILICIFIED WITHIN THE ZONE. NO SULFIDE MINERALS WERE NOTED.

Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Development): HEAP LEACH PAD WAS PROBABLY CONSTRUCTED WITHIN THE LAST 2 YEARS (1984). ROCK FROM THE OPEN CUT WAS PLACED ON THE LEACH PAD BUT APPARENTLY NEVERLEACHED. LISTED AS A ACTIVE SILVER MINE IN 1983, EMPLOYING 2 PERSONS. IN 1983 IT WAS OWNED BY WATTERSON MINING CO., JACK AND WILLIAM WATTERSON, LESSORS, 601 BRIDGE ST, #209, WINNEMUCCA, NV 89445.
