Comments

Comment (Location): LOWER PART OF GRANITE RIDGE ON WEST SIDE OF NORTHERN NIGHTINGALE RANGE, ABOUT 1000 YARDS FROM RAGGED TOP-GERLACH ROAD ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Deposit): A YELLOW POWDERY URANIUM MINERAL OCCURS IN ASSOCIATION WITH A HIGHLY ALTERED PEGMATITE DIKE. VERTICAL VEINLETS OF QUARTZ WITH BLACK TOURMALINE INTRUDED ALONG A N 85 E STRIKE IN ROTTEN QUARTZ MONZONITE. MOST STRUCTURE IN QUARTZ MONZONITE IS OBSCURED BY WEATHERING AND ALTERATION. THE URANIUM IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VEINS, BUT IS IN THE ALTERED QUARTZ-MONZONITE.

Comment (Workings): DOZER CUTS, LOCATION PITS

Comment (Geology): RECENT BASALT EXTRUSIVE CENTER LOCATED ACROSS VALLEY TO THE WEST
