Comment (Development): PLACERING ALL ALONG WILLOW CREEK CANYON HAS OCCURRED FOR MANY YEARS; MOST RECENT ACTIVITY IS IN 3 AREAS: NE/4 OF NE/4 SEC. 11, WORKED BY CARL SEGERSTROM; SE/4 SEC 11 WORKED BY RO-MAC GOLD CO., LTD OF SALT LAKE CITY; AND CENTER, 5/2, SEC 34 BY AN UNKNOWN OPERATOR. RO-MAC HAS BEEN ACTIVELY PLACERING THE AREA SINCE AT LEAST 1981. IN 1981-1983, WARNER TEXAS INC WAS ALSO OPERATING A WILLOW CREEK MINE IN SEC. 11 EMPLOYING 6 PERSONS. ALSO, SANSTEAD MINING CO. WAS OPERATING THE JOHNSON CANAL PLACER WITH 3 WORKERS IN 1981, IN SEC 35, +32 NR36E, POWNSTREAM A BIT FROM THE OTHER WILLOW CREEK PLACERS. MOST PLACER ACTIVITY WAS BETWEEN 1938 AND 1964.
