Comment (Deposit): LOCALLY, QUARTZ VEINS IN PLACE AND AS FLOAT IN ALLUVIUM COVER OLDER METASEDIMENTS. DOZER CUTS USED TO UNCOVER QUARTZ VEINS AND TO DETERMINE THEIR EXTENT. VEINS ARE VUGGY, IRON, STAINED, SOMEWHAT BROKEN QUARTZ. MINE WORKINGS IN LOCAL DRAINAGES IN THIS AREA ARE SUNK TO BED ROCK OR CLAY LENSES TESTING FOR PLACER GOLD.
