Comment (Deposit): REPORTEDLY, BEST PLACERING WAS NEAR HEADS OF CANYONS. GOLD WAS CHARACTERISTICALLY FLAT NUGGETS. TITANIFEROUS MAGNETITE OFTEN CLOGGED RIFFLES IN SLUICE BOXES.

Comment (Location): MANY SMALL GROUPS OF PLACER OPERATIONS DOTTING THE AREA; THIS PARTICULAR ONE WAS ACTIVE IN 1984. . INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Development): PLACERS INTERMITTENTLY ACTIVE FROM EARLY 1900'S TO PRESENT. THIS ONE ACTIVE AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN SEPT, 1984. OPERATIONS OFTEN HAVE A SMALL CATCHMENT FOR WATER FROM WHICH THEY PUMP WATER OVER A SLUICE FILLED WITH GRAVELS FROM DIFFERENT PLACES ALONG THE WEST FLANK OF ROSEBUD PEAK.
