Comment (Deposit): ADIT FOLLOWS 3-4 FT THICK BAND OF MASSIVE PALE GARNET TACTITE ENCLOSED IN SHALEY HORNFELS. METASEDIMENTS STRIKE N 30 W, DIP 75-80 SW. MINOR, HAIRLINE QUARTZ VEINLETS CUT THE TACTITE. GRANITE CONTACT IS JUST BELOW THE ADIT LEVEL AND TO THE NORTH; GRANITE IS EXPOSED IN THE DRAINAGE NORTH OF THE PORTAL. TACTITE CONTAINS DIOPSIDE AND EPIDOTE AS WELL AS GARNET.
